Mrs Alexandra Amoako - Mensah
Mrs. Alexandra Amoako-Mensah is consulting Geologist with over 40 years experience in the management of industrial minerals and has extensive knowledge in the application of rocks and minerals in industry. She also has expertise in organizational management and administration. She holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Geochemistry (1971) from the Leeds University, U.K. and a Master of Science in Geology (1966) from the Leningrad University, USSR. She also has a Post Graduate Certificate in Ceramic Science and Technology (1977) at the Alfred University, New York, USA, and a Senior Management Development Certificate (1986) from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Accra, among many other professional qualifications.
She has also served for many years on local and international boards and technical committees including UN Scientific and Technical Committee (STC) on the International Decade for Natural Disaster Reduction (IDNDR) (1990 – 1997), Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) (1991 – 1994), Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) (1992 – 1995 & 2008 – 2015), the Minerals Commission (2001 – 2008) and the Governing Council of GNPC Learning Foundation (2014 – 2017). She was the Secretary General of Geological Society of Africa (1988 – 1993) and also served as the President of the Ghana Institution of Geoscientists (GHIG) (2006 – 2017).
She is credited with several technical, research and development publications.
Seth A. Larmie, MSc
Chief Consultant and CEO
Mr. Seth A Larmie is the Chief Consultant and Chief Executive Officer of SAL Consult Limited. He holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Sciences (Hydrology and Water Resources). He has over 25 years of consultancy and research experience in the monitoring and evaluation of water and environmental policies, programmes and plans.
He has led many projects to prepare environmental and social impact assessment reports, environmental and social management frameworks, resettlement and livelihood planning, management plans, monitoring and water resources assessments, and water supply and sanitation.
His assignments have satisfied the World Bank (IDA), IFC, and African Development Bank Safeguards policies. He has worked on projects funded by the Ghana Government, European Union, DANIDA, World Bank, CIDA, UNEP etc.
He has issued numerous technical and consultancy reports. His international consulting and research experience spans across Europe and the West African sub- region. He is also involved in teaching at the post- graduate level at the University of Ghana, Legon.
Ing. Joseph Payne, MSc
Principal Water and Sanitation Engineer
Ing. Joseph Payne has 12 years’ experience in Planning, Design and Supervision of water supply and sanitation projects, preparation of Tender Documents and Training Manuals as well as the Evaluation of Tender Documents. He has experience in system softwares such as EPANET, AUTOCAD, and GRUNDFOS/WINCAPS
Mr. Joseph Payne is a Senior Water Engineer with a Master of Science degree in Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation and A Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering both from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
He has undertaken numerous projects in various regions of the country. Other areas of interest include hydrological assessment for water baseline studies, water quality monitoring, community entry, and mobilization. He is also experienced in training of caretakers for Small Towns Water Supply Facilities.
He is the Head of the Water and Sanitation Department of the company.
Samuel E. K Anku, MSc.
Mr. Anku is a seasoned Environmental Management Expert and a Land Use Planner with over 30 years post qualification experience. He holds a Master of Science degree (MSc.) in Environmental Impact Assessment. University of Wales, Aberystwyth, UK, Post Graduate Diploma (Rural Surveys and Land Ecology) from International Institute for Aerospace Surveys and Earth Sciences, Enschede, Netherlands, and a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc.) in Planning from KNUST, Kumasi, Ghana.
He has been involved in Natural Resource and Environmental Management, Agricultural Land Use Planning; Community mobilization and urban development planning; Climate Change Technology needs Assessment; and Socio-economic surveys/ social impacts assessments. He has to his credit a lot of working experience in environmental and social impact Assessment and health/social safeguards management; technical reviews of government policies and numerous Environmental Management Plans (EMP), Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) Studies; Projects planning, compliance monitoring, evaluation and implementation.
He has also worked extensively on various donor development projects and programmes. (e. g. pilot irrigation schemes; Agricultural development (VORADEP); Urban sewerage and water supply systems; road rehabilitation; sanitation and waste management systems (UESP).
Akosua A. Opoku- Darko, MBA
Head of Administration
Akosua A. Opoku-Darko has a Master of Business Administration degree from Australian Institute of Business (AIB), Australia and Bachelor of Science degree in Water and Sanitation from the University of Cape Coast. She also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management in Public Administration (GIMPA) and a Certificate of Higher Education in Business Administration (HR Option) from the International Organisation for Capacity Building (IOCB), UK.
She initially joined SAL as a Water and Sanitation Specialist but has transferred to the Administration Department and is currently heading the Administration Department. She is active in developing policies and procedures for the sustainable management of the company as well as contributing to the day-to-day administrative management of SAL.
Ing. Bright Honya, BSc
Ing. Bright Honya is a Consultant and holds BSc (Civil Engineering) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. He has 8 years consultancy experience in Water Supply and Sanitation among others. He has been involved in Construction Supervision of civil works and assisting in Project Management.
Patricia Antwi Onyina, MSc
Senior Environmental Consultant
Ms. Patricia Antwi- Onyina is a senior environmental scientist with an MSc (Environmental Science) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a BSc Degree Entomology and Wildlife from the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Cape Coast.
Her experience in Environmental Consultancy includes environmental impact assessment, environmental management planning, stakeholder engagement and environmental media monitoring. She has prepared Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Management Plans for several agricultural and other infrastructural Projects.
Ewuresi Buabema Opoku(Mrs), MSc
Senior Environmental Monitoring and Safety Management Consultant
Ewuresi Buabema Opoku (Mrs.) holds an MSc in Environmental Monitoring and Management from the University of Nottingham, UK and a BSc in Botany from the University of Ghana, Legon
She also holds an International General Certificate in Occupational Health and safety (OHS) from National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH).
Her experience in Environmental Consultancy includes Environmental Media Monitoring (Air quality, Noise and Water quality), Environmental Baseline Studies, Environmental Safety Audit, Environmental Impact Assessment, Resettlement Related Assessments and Stakeholder Engagement. She has carried out environmental monitoring assignments and prepared Environmental Impact and Resettlement Assessments for several agricultural and other Infrastructural Projects.
Emmanuel N. A. Addo, MSc
Mr. Emmanuel N. A. Addo is an Environmental Scientist and Consultant with a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Environmental Sustainability and Management, from University of Ghana (Wisconsin International University College) and a B.Sc. in Forest Resources Technology, from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Ghana.
Mr. Emmanuel Addo has experience in Environmental Baseline Studies, Environmental Monitoring, and has conducted Environmental Assessments for Infrastructural projects. He also has experience in database management.
He develops location maps, as well as geology, soil and time change maps to enhance environmental assessments, for projects.
Wilson Amaning Asamoah, MPhil
Wilson A. Asamoah is an Environmental Consultant with an MPhil in Environmental Science from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Cape Coast. He also holds a Certificate in Project Cycle Management from the University of Ghana, Legon.
Wilson has experience in Environmental Assessments, environmental baseline studies and Occupational Health and Safety Audits. He has conducted Environmental Health and Safety audits for mining and Infrastructural projects.
Niifio Laryea, MSc
Niifio Adom Laryea has a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Ecology and Environmental Management from the Liverpool Hope University, UK, and a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) in Development studies from Valley View University, Oyibi, Accra.
Niifio Laryea has experience in environmental baseline studies and Stakeholder Engagements, and has assisted in management of resettlement related issues for electrification projects.
Winifred Siaw Sappore, BA
Winifred Siaw Sappore is a Communities Engagement Expert and a Consultant with a Bachelor of of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from the University of Ghana, Legon.
She has experience in community development and social engagement. She has conducted stakeholder engagement, and social impact studies for various Infrastructure, agricultural, and forestry projects.
Senior Accounting Assistant (Contract)
Mr. Prince Adjei-Sika is an Accountant and holds Part II of the Association of International Accounts (A.I.A) from the Royal Academy for Accountancy in Accra.
With his experience gathered over the past 20 years in his previous employment, Mr. Adjei-Sika has helped to put in place structures for managing the accounts department efficiently. Currently, he is the Senior Accounting Assistant of the Company.
Abena Offei Nyarko
Principal Administrative Assistant
Abena Nyarko Offei (Mrs) holds a Diploma in Secretarial Studies from the Jayee Professionals Training Institute in Accra. She has subsequently benefited from various training programmes at MDPI and GIMPA. Mrs. Nyarko Offei has over 15 years working experience and provides support in development of the human resource capacity and growth of SAL.
Yayra Donudenu, BA
Yayra Donudenu, is an Administrative Assistant with a bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Profession Studies, Accra.
Yayra assists with the management of the office and the provision of logistical support to all other departments.
Mr Felix Darkwa is a Principal Driver with over 15 years of experience in Driving. He has undergone a number of training on “Defensive Driving” organised by Intercity Coaches Ghana Limited and eXL Management. He assists in the coordination of activities within the transport section of the Administration Department.
